hi all im new to the forum im hoping someone can help me ive got a peljob 721 1998 mini digger and the hydraulics are slow and when either of the hydraulics are on full lock it nearly stalls the engine and it dose the same when i try to turn on the spot with the tracks eny info would be great

Is your hyd system open center or closed center?
Have you checked the filters?
Have you checked the pressures on the loader and the drive motor valves?
Do all the return lines have good flow to tank with no obstructions?

hi im new to hydraulics but i will try my best to answer to start with what is open/closed hyd system ive just put a new filter kit on it no difference but what ive noticed today is that all the functions ie tracking/moving arm apart from the bucket curl have got very erratic movements ive also taken it down to get pressure tested and all good

If you have any QD's in the hyd system, reset them. Unplug and plug back together.
Has someone been doing work on the machine?
Open center hyd is when the fluid is flowing through all the time.
In a closed center hyd system, the fluid is at the IN ports not flowing, but available for use.

where are the qds in the hydraulic system also ive just been looking at the hydraulic box where all the pipes valves ect go and i have got 3 valves with screw caps with little chains on them and on the side of the box is a yellow caps on valves what are these

What I am seeing is solenoid valves showing the solenoids with two large screws on top.
Some solenoid valves have a manual way to activate the valve.
The screw also lets you change the solenoid.
You can test the valve by using the correct voltage, and air as the source.
