ad is as follows --

"Kubota F3680 front mount mower, 4 wheel drive, hydrostatic transmission, 72" side discharge mower, 36 HP diesel engine with low hours. I am the original owner of this mower new and was used very little. The mower is like new with less than 100 hours.

Also included is a snow blower and factory steel cab. All like new.

Buy this machine since it is as good as new and you will not have to worry about the new tier 4 engines, all the new machines have the new emissions systems."

thoughts?

thanks!

In looking at Craig's List, and more interestingly at Tractorhouse.com, I see pricing all over the place. Yours certainly would rank in the higher region. Maybe even $18,000 or so? Depends how patient you are to move it. Let us know when you price it.

thanks there varmint --

-- i am loking ay buying, not selling, the unit.

went to test drive her yesterday.

a lot of niceness, though i wasn't thrilled by the curtis cab -- poor fit and finish and lots of grass stuck to the headliner.

I'm not sure I'd want a cab with all that glass unless the machine has AC (which I doubt). I hope the doors come off and there is a fan mounted in the cab.

I have a Curtis Cab on my 4520 Deere. Well, it keeps the cold out and the snow off me. The doors do come off for the summer, if so desired.
The build quality isn't too good...but Curtis Cabs are among the lowest cost cabs.

THe cab would be more a selling point for the blower than the mower IMHO.

That thing is mint however!. You can tell its a homeowner machine. Hard to put a price on it, but if I was to guess, Id say it would be fairly priced in the $16-20k range. Probably closer to 20 with the blower and super mint condition.

This craigs ad sounds like the one youre intrested in. http://syracuse.craigslist.org/for/5136098791.html Its been removed. Did you get it?

Hi all -

Yes, Jason -- that's the unit.

I was very excited to go and see it on Saturday -- excellent condition, everything I need (blower, mower, etc.) --

Upon test driving it, I found the cab (with doors off) to be sort of a PITA -- the grass blows in the cab and sticks on the ceiling! Also, the large windshield is quite distracting, getting dirty, etc. and making it hard to see.

Finally, yes, it's a lot of money just to blow 'n mow.

I'm back to looking at b2650 and b3350s -- just concerned about the tier 4 stuff on the 33.

It's a lot of horsing around, looking at all of this stuff!

Thanks for your thoughts -- and yes, the owner uses all syn amsoil and the like -- but again, I was asking myself, why do I need such a unit? I found the cornering when steering awkward, like too much unit for tight spaces, and pretty darned long.

Re: perfect-looking F3680 with 72" deck, blower and curtis cab - need price-point --

They are a lot of money for a mower, but the blower adds a lot of flexability (and value)

B3350 etc. would be more flexable for things other than mowing and blowing, like tilling.. And dont underestimate the most useful attachment of all, the loader.

All and all though, the "Dedicated" mowers like the F and ZD series are all around better mowers compared to the jack of all trades, B and BX's. I ended up buying a ZD because I was unhappy with the mowing performance of the BX, both in cut quality and in maneuverability. If you think the F is hard to handle in tight places, wait until you try a B

What was buddy's price on the F? Were the estimates here close?

My guess is that whoever got it really wants it for snow removal, with grass cutting as a secondary function. I've seen them used to clear snow from campus sidewalks, and parking areas where a larger machine would be too much.

I had a ZD331 -- it was nice for mowing -- perhaps a little too easy -- I used to mow with a b2400 -- try doing that with a front loader on -- !!

Also yes -- he was looking at $22K -- just a lot of $$ for a unit that was a bit awkward to drive around, or a bit awkwardly set up -- probably because the cab setup....
