I'm rebuilding a perkins 4.203 in an mf65.
The kit comes with liners and I planned on replacing them.
While looking around I seen several posts saying most liners need to be bored after installation.
How can I tell if these are supposed to be bored after installation or not?
They came in a kit with the pistons inside the liners. They are pretty thin and are already honed so I would think they're finished and shouldn't need boring.
The kit I got is at IN-FRAME ENGINE OVERHAUL KIT FOR MASSEY FERGUSON- PERKINS AD4.203 65 165 255 30 | eBay
I got one liner out and I know how to put them in, I'm just a little confused over the boring thing.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
