While attempting an "in the frame" rebuild on my AD# 152, I cracked a new cylinder sleeve while installing it! It's got about a 3/4 inch crack starting at the top of the sleeve. Ques: should I buy another sleeve kit, or continue with the rebuild and leave the cracked sleeve in place??
Can sleeves be ordered alone with a matching piston?
Next ques: Regarding the fuel injectors, can they be taken apart and cleaned by me or do they need to be sent to a shop? It appears that they just unscrew and come apart? These are direct injection type.
Thanks for any input, Bob

Replace the cracked liner for sure. I put the liners in dry ice for a couple hours before I install them. Slide them in as far as you can by hand, wear gloves, then use a 4" thick piece of oak laid across the top top drive them the rest of the way in. I order my rebuild kits from Agkits.com. the new pistons are not matched to the liners so you should be good to go with just one new liner. Send the injectors out and have the tips replaced and pressure set to specs.

As above, get a new liner, it`ll be less trouble in the long run, and they are not matched. When the engines were built originally at the factory, they were dipped in dry ice before fitting although I`ve known people to really cool without the dry ice. The injectors can be taken apart and new parts fitted, but if you have a diesel guy locally, they are not expensive to service, and an injector shop will set them to go off at the right pressure. Yes you can but new nozzles and parts, but as you`ve spending a bit of money on the engine, I would go for the injectors to be right as well. At least you will know you will have an engine that will last years.

Thank you for the input!! The reason that a sleeve was cracked during insertion was due to the liner lip getting snagged on the hold down bolts of the jig I'd made for the sleeve installing procedure. A "senior moment", lol. I contacted the place that sold me the rebuild kit to see if they could supply 'just a sleeve', so waiting for their response now. Maybe someone on this forum has an extra sleeve kicking around that I could purchase?

Who supplies/makes injector lines? I need a #2 line for my FM40 AD3 152 engine.
