Hey guys,
Have this diesel engine in my tractor and have a question about rocker oiling in the head.
The rocker oiling can be adjusted by rotating the rocker shaft. The service manual states the slot in the rocker shaft should be 30 degrees left of vertical. Minimum oiling is with the slot set vertically. Other posts say to line it up where there is a punch mark (I dont see any punch mark on my engine). I recently picked this tractor up so dont have history on it. Why would the slot be set opposite of what the manual states...~30 degrees right of vertical? Is the manual (got form Jensales) wrong?? It looks like oil is getting to the rockers (oil present when valve cover is removed but not running) but this has me scratching my head.
