Hi,
I bought a new (old) MF135 and I'm changing the oil and something seems wrong in the housing. The filter just drops into the housing with no spring pressure to keep the filter up and against the big O-ring in the housing. My other MF is at the farm and I can't take it apart to verify. I believe this tractor has been running in 'bypass' for an unknown period of time. Can someone please confirm that the spring should go under the plate with the Oring to keep the filter up and force oil to go through the filter?
Thanks,
