Here is a pic of my just arrived Cub Cadet 782d and my wife's 582 plow special. For the newbie, the 782d packs a liquid cooled Kubota 3 cyl diesel, 15hp and a catagory 0 rear 3pt. My wife's 582 has been fully rebuilt, engine totaly gone thru, 19 tooth second gear in the cast iron IH cub 3spd trans, aux creeper gear box, rear sleeve hitch with spring assist for the manual lift. The 582 runs a Briggs and Stratton opposed flathead twin, 16hp for a power plant. When it gives up again, I will repower with a Briggs Vanguard in the same HP range. The mower deck is on the 582 right now, but will go over into the 782d as its much easier on fuel. Cheers Mike and Michele T

Very nice tractors, I especially like 782D's. You can see pix of my 682 in my signature line- aside from my string trimmer, it is my one and only powered yard work machine, and has Honda re-power.

1*The 15 HP diesel and 3 point makes it similar in such features to my BX1500.
2*What size mower will / ru running on it and how does the 15 HP handle it power wise?
3*You got that rite:
I can mow what I was mowing with the Gas CC GT2554 2 or 3 times on one tank of fuel with the BX1500.
I had to fill the CC 2 or 3 times to mow the same area once.
BX1500 = 3- times per tank
CC GT2554=3 tanks per time.

I run a 44" mower deck, I could put a 50" on it, but that gets to hard to use around our landscaping. I normaly burn 4 gal of gas every 2.5 mowings, the 782d will be much easier on fuel, I know as I used to have the 882 diesel. I need to get the 3pt back on the tractor as its sitting in the corner of the garage at the moment. Cheers Mike

1*I have a 54'' mower on the CC GT2554 and a 48'' mower on the BX1500.
I really do miss the wider deck when mowing with the BX1500.
I have plenty of room to operate the 54'' deck.
I can mow closer to ditches and banks with the CC than I can with the Kubota.

New pic time. I got the red all repainted, in time I will install new hood decals. I stole the IH emblem and hood ornament off our 582 as its next into the paint booth. Hopefully I can get the mower deck installed this weekend, as well as the 3pt hitch. Cheers Mike
