Nice looking tractor and Congrads!! I don't see a cab on your tractor but you say it has a "C" designation. Is that something new with Montana or did you just put a "c" in there by mistake? Regardless, a nice looking unit.

Nice rig. I see you already have a hook welded to the bucket. I predict you'll want a couple more welded to the ends as well.

I used to wonder about the value of a canopy. Now that I have one, I'm pretty sure I couldn't live without it.

Hi, THanks for the compliment, its a "C5264" (you can see it on the front cowl in the Picture).

No Idea if this is a new designation from Montana (dont think so). This an 08 model, as far as i know their "C" series are the more basic UTB (Romanian made) tractor, vs the other line which is more refined and made in Korea.

the UTB "C" series are really 1960's technology, which is really what i wanted, much more basic, hopefully less to go wrong (we'll see ) and certainly much lower cost to buy. THis machine new wasnt much more than what I saw 20-30 yr old machines selling at , many of them lower HP etc...

thanks, bucket came withthe Hook pre welded, im a complete newbie at this so ill ive done is Wax it...

yes...wax it... I may be the only guy in Ontatrio to have waxed a tractor...

that's a good looking rig! congrats on the purchase. this is the first i have seen of these series Montana's, other then looking at them on their website. i need to get a canopy for mine, but if i add one it won't fit under my shed( a whole 2 inches prohibits this

). i think i bought too big of a tractor(oxymoron)

Well, funny you should say that, the old drive shed im planning on putting mine in is too low. I raised the door way as much as i can, withthe door as narrow as i can (its a slanted roof), but still not enough, ive got to dig out over 8" of dirt from the floor to get the height required it in. Now the ground has firmed up, i shoud be able to do that with the tractor without leaving 12" ruts in the grass. reality is the roof isnt any higher then the exhaust stack (may be an inch)

Ive heard that Montana is no longer going to Carry these "C" series after this year (according to my dealer), After I got mine, He managed to grab the last 3 he could find from Montana (dealers in the US going out of business?). Interstingly the same Tractor is now much more $ than I paid due to the difference in the US/CAD dollar from when he brought mine up to Canada last yr....nice that he passes on the savings to his customers.
