Picked up a Snow Ex 1875

OK, found a new Snow Ex 1875 3pt mount from a dealer that was dropping the Snow ex line for a heck of a lot cheaper than any price I had gotten locally.
I'll let all know how well it works and get some pics up soon.

Picked up the Snow Ex 1875 today and got started putting it together. The control box and wiring is really overbuilt. Wiring was really easy. Plug & play at its' best.
The 3pt hitch mount isn't exactly heavy duty and my guess is the powder coated frame might look good for 2 years.

I hate powder coating.

Heavy plastic hopper looks good and strong. Thought it would be a little bigger, though.
I'm going to hook it up to tractor today and see how it spins.

Post season report:

Well, we didn't get much snow this year. only got to use spreader 5 times! :ashamed: However, the spreader controls in the cab are awesome. Unit works great except 1 thing. Maybe I'm missing something here, but I can't understand how they expect the salt to stop flowing out from the spreader when you're not running it. The salt just keeps flowing out of the hopper when it's turned off. Seems like a gate control should be there.

Had to stuff an old t-shirt in chute> every bump caused salt to fall out.
