4110 Mahindra
Picked up my used 4110 this weekend. Haven't had much of a chance to use it. Parked it in the shed and took a few pictures. It's been cold and snowy here lately so I'll probably get to blade the drive and push some snow around, can't wait.

For all of you who have one of these or any Mahindra, what's your overall impression? A friend of a friend had one of these (4110) and loved it, just wasn't enough tractor to do all his farm work, so he traded in on a 6500 4wd. My first impression is small, but powerful. I'm starting a house at the end of March and I really wanted something I could get into tight spaces yet still have plenty of power to move brush, rock, dirt, whatever I want. I hope I got just what I needed.

I have a new 4110. Have not gotten to use it much either. Only have about 10 hours on it. Not sure if it is going to be powerful enough for me. Tried to pick up a fairly large stump, and the backend came up. Haven't bushhogged yet either. Let me know how you like yours.

That must have been one heck of a stump. Was it in the ground or just something you wanted to move around.
The dealer I bought mine from said he hated to get rid of it.
He got it through a trade in and had been using it around his farm, clean barn lots and such. It's really what I was looking for, low hours, but used, I hate to put the first scratch on something. Hopefully everything works out with yours.

KenB,
Do you have the rear tires loaded or some sort or weight on your 3 point.
Counterweight makes the tractor much more stable when lifting with the loader.

I do not have the tires loaded or any weights. I have not gotten to use the new tractor much ... yet. I put the boxblade on the rear thinking that might help it some. It was a pretty big stump. I'll try to post a picture. It was out of the ground completely, just real heavy I guess. I've have to remember it is not a bulldozer. I'm still learning.

When I first got my tractor I didn't have the rear tires loaded, I used the box blade or tiller for rear weight.
With a full bucket of dirt on a slight incline the tractor was very unstable, always wanting to lift one of the rear wheels off the ground .
About 2 hours of that was enough for me, I loaded my rear tires with windshield washer fluid, the differance was huge.
Much, much more stable now.

I have a 4110 with 550 hours. I bought it new in June 2002. I use it to bushhog (5'), rake hay, move round bales, drive t-posts, dig post holes, harvest pecans (Savage 8261 harvester) and load pallets of bagged pecans. So far, the tractor has done everything I have asked it to do. I hope you have good luck with your 4110. Pecanman

Pecan Man, Thanks for the input, sounds like you like your tractor. Sounds like it'll do about whatever you'll ask it to. That's good to know.
How big a round bale are you moving?
Also have you seen the enclosures that are available, seems like that'd be nice, I know it would around here. It's cold and windy today, I don't even want to get out and play around with my new toy.

Mgnnr24: The round bales are 4'x5'. I can put one on the front (take off the bucket and put on a double spear attachment) and one on the back (3 pt. hitch bale spear). I also use the double spear attachment to move pallets. It comes in pretty handy. I have not seen any enclosures for a 4110. It doesn't usually get too cold around here. The pecan harvesting season lasts from about Thanksgiving to the end of the year. We put about 150 hours on the 4110 this season. The weather was pretty mild during the harvest. If you have any questions about the 4110, let me know.
