Do you guys think I need rear ballast to compensate for the 1000 lb blower?
I backed on to my tilt deck trailer for the first time with the blower today and I only had a few inches of deck to spare when the thing finally tilted back into position.

Ballast is a standard part of snow plowing with a PU and also when using a FEL on a CUT. I would start with 500 lb in the back of the bed and go from there. If nothing else it will help even out the traction.

I use 6 sets of three solid 4" concrete blocks stuck together with liquid nails to make easy-to-handle 85 lb ballast blocks for my plow truck and strap them in so they do not bounce all over.

Erskine makes some serious snow blowers..... you must be in drift territory!
