I ordered my Woods lr800 landscape rake about a month ago and I received it yesterday. It was assembled but the gauge wheels need to be flipped around. He said that they were put on the front side for shipping. I did opt for the hydraulic cylinder because I have recently learned how valuable it can be to have cylinders on different pieces of equipment. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone had any setup info or advice on using a LR because I haven't ever messed with one. thanks.

I like the hydraulic feature. And the way the tines are bolted makes them more accessible for tightening than on my International.

But I'm going to suggest that you reverse the gauge wheel arms. Anything the tires hit now, will automatically raise the tines up and over. You want the tires to be behind the tines - to keep the whole unit reasonably level as the tines move stuff along

I hope there are 4 bolt holes to reverse the gauge wheels, I can't tell from the pictures. Like Greg, I feel they need to be behind the tines.

Sharp looking rake...not sure if you have rear blade in your line up of attachments, does Woods offer a fold down grader blade & end boots for that model of rake...2in1 set up.

Hey that is a nice rake!! The wheels do go to the rear and there is a right and left so the three hole pattern will match up.

Sure it will be great to work with!

Thomas: Woods does make a fold down grader with optional end boots. I lucked out and actually got an older model (LR 108) withe dual wheels for free. It appears that the grader blade attachment brackets on my rake are 7' not 8'. Jay

thanks guys. I don't have a rear blade because I have a box blade and a d4 dozer so I don't really see a need for one. If I ever sell the dozer(probably after this year) then I'll probably get one. I know I probably "over bought" on the rake by buying the heaviest duty that they make but I'm getting to the point where I really prefer to buy top quality tools so they last. If it'll dry up some I may get to use it next weekend(provided the dealer has my tractor repaired by then)......
