Thanks, the feeder is working out better than anticipated. Yes it is plastic twine. I think can get by with about half of twine I have that bale wrapped with. :thumbsup: I do remove all of the twine when I place it in the feeder. If I didn't I am sure I would probaly have at least on goat eat it.

What size of disc mower would look good behind my DK45?

There is always some waste but your design looks good. I have a similar feeder in that it has a roof but I place a basket style feeder in it and the waste is pretty bad. I'd say 25 percent at least.

We also remove the netwrap or bale twine for fear of the animals eating or getting tangled in it. Had some nasty experiences with animals wrapped up in the stuff.
