Finally got around to figuring out how to upload pictures.
Here is a pic of my Kubota L4200 that I got a few months ago, and some of the modifications that I've made to it.
Tooth bar, bucket grapple, chain on forks, grill guard cover, ROPS cover, belly pan, operators cage.
It's a '96 model with 700 hrs.
I paid $8000; hope I didn't do too bad.
Been using it mostly so far to clear off a house site.
Even with 3 sets of wheel weights, it was still light in the rear.
So, after loading the rear tires and adding a box blade to get more of the 45 horses to the ground, it has done fairly well.
I've pulled down some hickory as big as 16" at the base by chaining high in the tree.
The tooth bar with the grapple makes for a pretty good brush grabber alone, but when I put on the forks, I can grab a really big pile.
So far, it has done all I've asked of it, but I am beginning to see why a lot of users prefer the HST transmission. At age 64, my knees are not what they used to be, and after a lot of shifting, the left one gets pretty sore.
