Thanks for saying that it sounds like a good idea using both the spray in liner and the drop in liner. My wife thinks I'm an idiot! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I got the idea from my truck. It has the spray in liner and it works great and is very tough. However I've gotten a few dents that I would rather not have had. I had a truck before that only had the drop in liner. When I lifted it up I was furious to find that it had worn through the paint in numerous places. My simple mind put the two together. Now the real embarrassing part; I sometimes even use a rubber mat over the drop in liner which is over the spray in liner. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif As we know the drop in liners tend to let stuff slide around, thus the rubber mat. Yeah, I know. My wife asks why have the bed at all...

I've always used a rubber bed mat over my spray-in bed liners. Just adds another layer of protection. My Gator has the drop-in, very durable but has a tendency to rattle and is slippery. When I trade for a new Diesel HPX, I'll have the bed sprayed and lay a rubber mat over it.

A rather good idea! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Let us know how that diesel HPX is for you. I've been a long time JD owner but sold my 6X4 worksite Gator after I drove the RTV. They obviously didn't have a diesel HPX for me to drive last Feb. I think the HPX's look cool as heck! I like the way they enclosed the belt and put sort of a snorkel up high for it's air circulation. That would cure one of the main problems I had with my old style Gator. My wife would make me live in the barn if I bought one of the diesel HPX's along with my RTV though. I like the RTV too well to get rid of it. Hmm, I wonder how bad it would be living in the barn...

Where would Ifind the materials to apply a spray in bed liner. I am thinking about the roll on application also. Anyone ever done the roll on? Results?

I have an HPX diesel, love that thing. Have a custom made cab on it, front snow blade and the electric dump. I went with the plastic liner though. Should have gone spray in but the only thing I'm hauling is horse crap anyway. If you are looking to get a Gator I'd go XUV though. The 825i, although is gas really puts out some good numbers and it absolutely flies! I think it does like 43MPH? Maybe more. But the 850D XUV is diesel and does 30 some MPH which is still faster than the RTV and HPX and the XUV and HPX spec out exactly the same. The only thing I wish about the gator is that it had the hydraulics like the RTV's although it's not a huge deal as they have the electro hydraulic stuff, just a little slower otherwise it's perfect

As for the liner it does look really good. My only regret on my gator.

Advance Auto Parts sells the kits and some even include the roller. Several people have used the stuff on their tractors and bed liners. I've even used it on a flat roof to keep it from leaking. If you get it on you, as my wife found out, it has to wear off not wash or come off with "stuff remover".:)
fatwallet.com has coupon codes for Advance Auto about all the time. There is usually one (like A123) that will give $25 to $30 off of a $75 to $100 purchase. Can order online and pick up local or maybe free shipping over a certain amount. I just do local pickup.
