We know how we all like those pics, so here are a few of the new tooth bar I just purchased.
I got it from Markham Welding in Denton, NC. The cost for my BX2230 was $158 + $62 for shipping (to MA).

Great customer service, I called them at 11:00 am and they made it and shipped it out by the end of the day. The woman you deal with on the phone is the wife of the owner, she has that great southern charm, a joy to talk to.

Seems to be heavy duty, weighs 65lbs. Very easy to install, all you need to do is drill 2 mounting holes and your done.

Mike,

That looks beefy. The BX will surely not be breaking off any of those teeth! You should be all set to cut through just about anything, including your pants, shirts, skin, siding, and automotive paint, among other things. They're not real good for smoothing, but they'll cut through just about anything this side of solid rock.

That is a nice looking tooth bar. Are the buckets hard to drill?

JHAGERTY...
I was wondering if you had to weld the 2" square pieces of 3/8 thick pre drilled steel to the outside of your bucket that came with the toothbar or just bolting it was OK /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif???...couldn't tell from your picture..as I'm planning on getting the Markham toothbar too.

Hey guys, here are some answers to your questions.

The bucket is pretty easy to drill, start small and work your way up. Only took about 15 min to install

I did not weld the 2" square pieces, everything seems to bolt-up real tight. However, I have heard that’s the best way to go so the bucket holes don’t work out on you. I think if your going to use the tooth bar a lot I would go with welding the squares.

My bucket hooks are drilled through the top of the bucket. The hooks that I used on the tractor are tow hooks, I first installed them on my truck about a year ago (and have used them several times), they are very strong and are rated at 10,000 lbs. Each hook has two bolts and you can pick them up at any auto store for about $10 each. I can post a pic if you want.

Mike,
Do you have the measurements that you used to order the toothbar handy?
