Built a new well house for our irrigation well. Old one was rotten and full of termites and ants. Made this one mostly from leftover materials when we built our house. Made of hardie board, cypress and standing seam metal roof.

I did purchase the concrete for floor. Cost about $220 for one yd. Even though I had most of the materials it still costed about $500. It's crazy how much things cost now days

Uh, not a very informative or entertaining thread. Above ground below ground? Point , 1 pipe, 2 or drilled? How do you heat it?

At my camp I had solenoids for draining. One to isolate the tank, other to open line for air. They started leaking, water outside the heated well and freezing. Spaces is tight and took them out when put bigger tank in. Wondering if I could squeeze double up solenoids so I can stop the leaks.

Climbing in and out of well in the winter, moving insulation, is not hard, but not quick as it used to be.

Albert - do not fret. I just tried to post a picture. It would post, but up-side-down. Finally after half an hour I got ONE to post upright. Sometimes the stars just aren't aligned right.

When I use my phone on some forums it goes sideways. I have to resize on my computer.

Built a 9'x9' SIP heated pump house with center floor drain and six stub outs as seen on the concrete platform. Currently three stub outs are used with three remaining for future shop, home and yard irrigation. All plumbing and electrical are 4' from floor level for ease of access and maintenance. NO back bending work needed in here ever. SIP panel walls and roof are 6".

Nice. Everything gets working on. Plus having to install.

Curious is your house built on slab, or is this for something else?

Zirk,

The foundation image is for my pump house. Built this in July of 2017. Took one day to set up the SIP building.

I realize that. Is your house built on slab? This part of the country, cold like you, the well head is outside, but equipment in house. Just curious how they do it in ID.

My home drilled well equipment in house. Camp point well, well house, so could dig down and add feet.

Just curious different building tactics, and different eras of construction.
