I am posting this in regard to my thread on the bent power steering lines. Can someone who has a 4530 do me a BIG favor? I need pics of the bracket where the power steering lines route under the tool box, showing the bottom bracket that bolts from underneath the tractor. Mine is bent and I need to know how the bracket needs to be bent back to correct it. Sorry for the bother, but this would be a big help.

Down Under,

Thanks for the follow up. I do still need some help with this. I have looked everywhere for pics showing the way the lines are routed and can't find anything. My other option is to make a trip to my dealer, but they are 70 miles away. I would really appreciate it if you could take a close up of the area around the toolbox, in particular the power steering lines and bracket supporting them.
Right now I am running the tractor with the lines unsupported. I am still considering changing them out for flex line and tucking them closer to the engine. As far as the toolbox, it is sitting in my shop and probably won't be put back on. Also, a 3/8" skid plate is in the works.

Have you glanced through the loader manual to see if there happens to be any pictures depicting that are in there? Just another place I thought of that you could look....

I didn't get the loader, but I have looked through all my manuals and ALL of the brochures and web pages. I even searched the gallery on this site for anything close to what I am looking for. It is almost as if this particular location is guarded by Area 51, ie. nobody has pictures of it up close!! It's really not that big of a deal, and I hate to bother anybody with this request. I just can't stand to have something "broken" and not fix it. Call me a perfectionist, but I call it taking care of my equipment. I could actually see me kicking myself in the butt if I tear these lines off knowing they were exposed and I didn't fix them!
Thanks for following up though!

Cdover73, I don't know if my 4500 4WD is set up the same as the 4530, but I'll take a couple of pictures today and post them for you. Maybe it will help?

After rereading your post, I'm not sure my pictures will do any good. My tool box is on the right side. As you will see, my power steering lines are on the left side. It appears that there may be significant differences between my 4500 4WD and your 4530.
First picture was taken from directly beneath the lines;
Second picture taken from under the front axle;
Third picture taken from behind the left front tire.

weldingisfun,

Thanks very much for the effort but this is a different arrangement from my 4530. You did solve one of my problems and save me trip to my uncle' who has a 4500! I was gong there next to see if it was the same.

I may make the trip to my dealer this weekend to look at them my self. It is a long way (70 miles) but I need to start buying the stuff for my 100 hr service anyway so it won't be a wasted trip.

Also, the lines you have with the spring covering is what I am thinking of going to so I can do away with the hard lines there now. It would be easier to run them and I can tuck them away further under the side.

weekend project, i'd edit that post and remove the pages of the service manual. I am sure that info is copyrighted. I just don't want to see you get in trouble.
