Very impressive. Is it a training kennel, boarding kennel? I'll have to make sure my dogs don't see those pics or I just might have some jealous dogs to deal with.;)

this is a boarding kennel. To be honest you get more money to board them sometimes then you can to train. And it is a lot less headaces. The grounds are for training my own dogs.

Thanks for the pictures, I enjoyed looking at them and all your progress. Having them all in order like that really pur into persepctive what you've been doing.

On the plumbing lines, I notices that the end of the main line inside you barn has a screw in plug at the end. Is this to clean out the line if it gets pluged up? If so, or if it's meant to be a cleanout, you might want to put it on a 45 elbow or a sweeping 90. If you have a problem and need to open it up, you will have a very bad, stinky mess to deal with that you could easily avoid.

I used to know a guy that was well respected in the beagle field trial world. He charged $40/week to train beagles to run. I thought that was a heck of a deal and didn't see how he could make any money doing that.

I'm very jealous of that setup.

Be prepared for your septic system not functioning well. Many, many years ago I was a research manager for NASA. Part of one study was a beagle colony and the research group reported that the septic system did not break down the waste as expected. At this distance in time (about 30 years) I do not remember what they had to do about the problem. It may be that if you are adding enough human waste to the system the system will work better. I would recommend that the system be pumped in about 2 years and assesed as to how well it is working.

I am aware that dog waste does not break down. My plan is to pick up the waste and then wash kennels with power washer. You have to understand
my kennel has a full bathroom including a shower. There is a kitchen with three sinks. Two for dog dishes and one for me. Also the grooming shop will have a rasied one peice tub. The clean outs are mostly for dog hair not waste. I also have a trap on from the kennel area before it goes in the septic tank as there was not enough room to place one in the floor. Also we have a clean out in the kennel area. So I will not have to snake more then 15 feet the most which may be more then I want.
But this is just like building a house there is a kitchen, bathoom and more GFI outlets then you can shake a stick at. I have outlets on all sides of the building. I also need to duplicate the water system I have in my house, for Iron removal. It is so bad that I could give a white poodle a bath and it would apricot when I was done, due to the iron in the water.
To run water to everyplace int he kennel I will use Pex tubing and run everything over head attached to the ceiling through pipe. I already
have the tool from doing the floor so I will go with wirsbo 1/2 inch. We will
run most everything from a manifold through the kennel. So basically I will run the plumbing myself.
But what scares me is the prices of these modulating boilers 92% efficient
some of the prices I have gotten have been $2700 for only 100,000btu
to $4100 for a utica boiler 130,000btu.
