Mowing Piles of mower decks?

I read an article about the guys who race tractors and it mentioned that they remove the mower decks for obvious reasons. The article went on to say that the decks sit in piles somewhere... Is this true? If so, where? My decks look like quilts they have so many welds on them.

I have never heard of piles of decks from mower racing but I have some here if you need one ,what mod. tractor and deck do you have? I am in western Pa. Rich
