Piston for ford naa

Im looking for teflon seal for lift cylnder..1954 forn naa..pistion is 2.5 inche dia
i cant where to buy tefon or neoprene..i wrecked 2 leather ones...any assist where to purchase

Last time this came up I could no longer find the rubber backup washer, only the leather one. I suspect it may have been discontinued for some reason.

When you tried to install the leather ones did you soak them in boiling water before making the attempt? I have been lucky and each leather backup washer I have installed using the the hot soak method worked fine.

They say there is teflon thats way better.. im unable to find them..yes i soaked it...but cut them trying force in cylinder

I agree the with it being better than the leather but if they no longer make them... for whatever reason then leather is your only choice. Did you use a ring compressor when installing the piston? I use a well lubed (oil dripping) engine ring compressor to successfully squeeze the rings in without damage.
