New member, first post. Hello everyone. Is there an after market source for the plastic parts on a John Deere 4300? The dealer prices are absurdly expensive.

Welcome to the forum! Don't believe that there are aftermarket sources for JD plastic. That's partly why their prices are so absurdly expensive!!!

Like they say.... It is the color of money! Some items one can substitute but their plastic parts are not in this category. Mistakes are sometimes covered by insurance. Personally I haven't been in a position to benefit from this. The only alternative is to bite the bullet and order what you need. I see ads on CL in the wanted section but there is a very minute chance of someone having your part in a corner collecting dust.

Check ebay. Still not cheap though.
