I got a great deal on a LW7 backhoe and the specs say it is a cat II. The DK35SE specs say that the three point is a cat I. How do I pair these up? Bushings? adaptors?

Thanks,
Marcus

Not sure but if it is a 3pt mount backhoe I would reconsider regardless of Cat 1 or 2. It is pretty easy to hurt a tractor with a backhoe that is not supported by a subframe. I've never heard of doing it but many Cat 2 implements can be used on Cat 1 tractors by using bushings to increase the pin size (or I guess to just put in a bigger pin). Still, seems even more dicey to do that with a backhoe if it is really a 3pt mount.

Good advice. So my next question is how to design a subframe that will fit this backhoe to my tractor. I have welding experience, just need to design something that will be easy to deal with.

Maybe the thing to do would be to purchase a subframe that fits the Kioti DK35SE, then fab something to attach to that.

If I were in your shoes I'd discuss it with a savvy dealer. There are several who frequent the Kioti section.

Buying a separate subframe is probably the best way to go and then modify it for the hoe. A cat II hoe is probably a lot for your tractor. Subframe probably going to be required or you maybe breaking you tractor in half. This has been known to happen on CUTs without subframes for even smaller backhoes.
If you want to carefully try the hoe, just replace the cat II pins on the hoe with cat I pins. Some pins will have Cat II on the threads but Cat I on the pin side.

Not to be rude, and I've never pointed this out to anyone online in all most posts here... but those backhoes are total junk. I'd do your best to sell it and buy somthing of better quality. We had a local guy buy one and its been back in the shop repeatably for hydraulic problems. I can't really name one part of it that we have not worked on. We've welded the boom, replaced all the hoses, worked on the valves. I'd hate to see you put in the time trying to work up a subframe and end up in the same boat as this guy.

I took your advice and sold the backhoe.

Now I need to figure out the right way to do this.

I stuck a Woods BH90x on my DK40se. Very nice piece of equipment. The BH80x is also nice and just a bit smaller. Either of those or the Kioti BHs would be good choices. These are all "name" products though so you may experience a bit of sticker shock compared to the Chinese 'hoe.
