Please help me trying to figure out this skid steer information

I bought this last year, there is no plate on the engine anymore, but it does say teledyne on the side meaning its a teledyne continental diesel 4 cylinder engine. Side says Swinger 171SL. There is a plate on the back says dynamic Industries 171SL. I need to rebuild this engine on this, I am only running on 3 cylinders. I need help with trying to figure out the year of this thing, I have never seen one in my life. Thanks

I know what you mean, I have tried and tried looking on google. I have not had any luck, apparently if there are any still in existence they are sitting in a woods or weeds somewhere. I hate to just sell this thing, I know with a little work she will be a good one again.

Hoosier, a quick google search reveals a company that manufacturers compact wheel loaders out of Michigan. Their website is Swinger loader Sales : Swinger of Michigan, LLC - Swinger loaders :: Home . I have found other references to Swinger loaders such as the M50 which seems to be a larger skid weighing in at around 8000lb.

The one you have pictured seems to be a handy sized machine. I have sorta been looking for one that would fit through a 3' garden gate. I think a fellow could build a business around a machine like that and a small dump trailer.

Nice hit tmc_31. The only things I could find on Google were the larger Swinger loaders like the ones pictured in that link. And they were on used equipment sites, not much that could help out the OP.

I used to work for the company that manufactured the Swinger loaders before they were discontinued and obtained a lot of the information, build sheets, material list, vendor/supplier information and lots of other stuff. I am currently in the process of having some of the more common parts & obsolete parts reproduced based off original drawings & specifications.
