Please help me with decision????? 3525 OR 2615

I live on about 10 acres of land. 2 of its a pond and one for the house, so I will be mowing about 7 acres. I have a 600 ft long rock driveway. I will be using the tractor for mowing, light loader work and box blade work. I know myself and I am hard on things. I was going to buy the 3525 today after work I overheard somebody say that the 4wd will work the loader better. There about the same price. which one should I buy?

is your land relativly flat that you will be working on? if you are working on hills at all, i recommend a 4wd. i don't have the specs in front of me on those 2 models, but i am guessing you can run much bigger implements on the 2wd (like a mower). my over all opinion is to go with a 4wd unit, then you know you can get around your property for sure. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Once you have 4WD it's hard to go back. I think that 2615 would do the trick. I mow 6+ acres on a similarlly sized tractor and it's just right.

I own a 3525di and i like the machine very much, but i purchased the machine for quite different work than you have described. I went to tractordata.com and looked at the two models and not counting the obvious 2wd to 4wd difference,i wonder if you have noticed the weight difference between the two, you are mowing alot from what I would think a heavy tractor might not be good. well here goes, this info is just to help you make a decision I am not promoting either one.
the 3525 weighs 4387 lbs without a front end loader the engine is 35hp with 27 hp at PTO the max lift on 3 point is 3525 lbs. and on the 2615 weighs 2458 lbs without front end loader the engine is 26 hp with 23 hp at PTO the max lift on 3 point is about 2000 lbs.

I have a '05 2615HST in which I also have 10 acres. I have a 5' FEL, 5' bush hog and a 5' Box Blade. I Bush Hog about 6 acres and my Gravel lane is just over 1500' The 2615 has more than enough power to do the Job. I also use my Tractor to do Construction. I Build houses as a side Job. The 4WD is a huge benefit while doing any work. My Land is NOT flat, it has rolling hills. You would not be dissatisfied by selecting the 2615. I have enjoyed my Tractor and I have not had 1 minute of trouble out of it.
