Pacesetter,
I went through the same thing with my local dealer. I called around and found a couple of different dealers, one in TN and one in NC that had good prices on a TC40 ($14,300 & $14,400). The local NH dealer shot me a price of $15,800 and was about $200 higher on the 16LA loader. I decided to give the local dealer one last shot, so I went to see him today with my quotes from other dealers on the same tractor. It turned out he was willing to deal. He had 2 TC40's in stock with the gear drive, folding ROPS and quick attach hitch options. The ROPS and quick hitch added about $300 in options and the loader also had the quick detach bucket option ($275 according to the dealer). He shot me a price of $19,300 for the tractor and loader. I was able to get him to throw in a 6 ft. box blade with the deal. I still paid a little more than if I had bought out of state, but the price difference dropped from almost $2000 to between $300-400. Given the fact that warranty work is almost always going to be needed, locally was the way I decided to go. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Maybe you can tweak them locally, unless of course you just don't like them!
