Hello, I found this site by searching about tractor attachments. My Husband passed away and I am trying to sell these but I don't know a thing about them. All I know is it's an old plow and a harrow...I thought it was called spring tooth. Any info or price value you can give me about these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You have a fully mounted spring tooth cultivator with what appears to be a Category 2 hitch. The sweeps (points on the ends of the cultivator tines) appear to be worn but they are replaceable. Although it is green with yellow wheels, normal John Deere colors, I am not familiar with this as a model I have seen before. Is there a name plate or serial number plate anywhere?

The plow is also green but it is a quite old fully mounted 3 bottom plow, also with what appears to have a Category 2 hitch (of course, probably used the same tractor for both). I have never seen a plow with coulters (the round blades) on only 2 of the 3 bottoms so it may have had some parts robbed although I cannot see any mounting point for the missing coulter.

Hopefully somebody will else will be able to identify the exact models and the value in their area. My best estimate based on auctions in my area would be about $400 for the plow and $800 for the cultivator but the prices can vary greatly by area of the country.

looks like a noble 4 row s tine cultivator.

Here is a link for a company that makes a similar S-tine cultivator for cultivating row crops. The tines are arranged in units like yours.
S-Tine Cultivator
Yours appears to be set up for 4 x 40" row spacing, but that is just my estimate from looking at the picture. Still I am no help for the price that you should try to get. It varies so much by area of the country and I am 700 miles north of you - entirely different farming practices. It is, however, something that I would bid on if I saw it at auction but the point at which I would stop bidding may be way low for your location.

The row cultivator is definitly JD. Not sure what the price difference is between C and S tine, but I picked up a 14' last year for $400.

You may want to check TractorHouse.com

Sorry about your loss. I would talk with local farmers as local will probably be where you end up selling regardless of how you get there. You may find that Kansas has some market for farm equipment, check with the Dept of Agriculture there. You should get your best price from a person who is buying to use not resale. There probably is a local tractor dealer who deals some with used and also probably auctions you might could sell at.

What they all said ... With only a few items for sale I would use your local craigslist to market your items. $4-500 for the plow and $7-900 for the Cultivator.

Thank you guys for all the help and info. My Husband died of cancer 20 months ago he was only 49 and I am just now ready to sell some of his guy things. I will be liquidating his whole welding shop but let me tell you, he was a hoarder of tools and all other guy things that I don't know about. I also have an old case tractor that I would like info on but I will make a new thread for that. Thanks again!!!! Cathy
