Please use adequate backstop when shooting

When I cleared the trees to make a pasture, I built a 10' high, 30' diameter dirt berm at the end of the property and painted fence posts as distance markers. It works real good until I have to turn my critters out on it. The wife doesn't like me shooting when her horse is out there...
Guessing the horse is not named Silver.

She's probably not real big on Prosciutto either, huh?

When I bought my property, one of the first things I did was look for a safe place to shoot. I have a pond dam that is about 20 feet tall that I decided to use. Mowing the thing was a pain though!

In your pic your bucket looks to be a good 2feet off the ground, seems a bit high even going down hill... While having it high enough to not knock grass down I like to keep mine low enough that if something happens I an slam it down to stop my movement.

I do agree back stops are a good plan, logs and dirt work well and ravines are better when shooting into the high bank at downward trajectory.

I built a log wall and then laid logs in behind that down inside an old pond/ravine basin for mine.
