10,11,12 year old thread, but its new to me, and the best answer for who makes Kubota oil was from a Kubota dealer, who said Valvoline was the oil maker, I guess this mystery question was solved 12 years ago and I mess it, probably because I didn't get a computer till 2010, bought my tractor in 07.

Sooo, is the true moral of this thread saying that Valvoline is the only ones who has the know how to make trans. fluid for Kubota tractors, are they the only oil Co. that know how to multiply XYZ, and come up with answer UDT, and yes the days are getting shorter, I don't like FB and I got bored watching TV.

I was told and think I saw a MDSS (Material Data Safety Sheet) that listed the maker's name.

Thread here says Ashland makes it. Valvoline is owned by - drumroll please - Ashland.

And? to repeat what has been posted many times? Kubota contracts with someone else in Canada and offers slightly different lube products there as well.

These are tractors builders, not oil companies. The OEM's bid out their specs and award a contract to whoever provides the product quality at the price point required. Nothing new here.
