farm trac 555
I need a plow for my food plot I'm doing, so my question is how big can I go? I have a 555 farm track 2nd back tires filled tractor has 50 hp .

Rule of thumb is 1 drawbar HP per inch of plow. Your tractor has 44 HP at the PTO. Your drawbar HP should be around 38. You should be able to pull 2-16's or 2-18's.

Rule of Thumb for plows is 1-horsepower per inch with 4-WD.

With 50-horsepower you should be OK with 4 X 12" or 3 X 14".

3 X 16" would be OK too, but few would want to plow food plots 8" deep.

(You do not want to invert sub-soil with top soil.)

Thanks a lot I was looking at a 1 pt. It's nice to know I could go to 2 anyway between 3,5 or 6 inches deep is what I want to go
