Grading Plow blade adapting

I've picked up a Meyers 6' plow blade which I am adapting to fit the JD power angle/lift kit on my 2520. Anyone have any suggestions or lessons learned, before I start making permanent changes?

There have ben a couple of threads just recently on this same topic, one of which was very detailed and well illustrated with photos. Try doing a search on snowplows (or something similar) and I bet you'll turn them up.

Just to be clear, you are trying to attach it to the front quick hitch? NOT the FEL correct?

I have no experience with the front QH, but can help with the hydraulics if you need it.
I cannot remember anyone using the front QH, but it sounds like a fun project...

Yes, I intend on fabricating a mount which is similar to the rear mount on the QH blade, and using it with the factory QH. This takes care of the hydraulics situation, but I have some concerns about positioning of the adapter so that I maintain adequate lift and downward travel.
I'll have a look at some of the other threads too.

I did that with my x495 and a 60 inch blade. If I wanted to move a little dirt I would use my tiller to soften the dirt and then move it with the blade. Be careful because the quick hitch will warp if you try to hard to mussel through a tough spot. For moving snow I never had a problem except for those darn expansion gaps in the concrete.

Thanks for the thought, I hadn't considered that there would be more torque/lateral movement in the mount system from the longer blade.
I know what yo're saying about those expansion joints...jolting experience!
