www.ntractorclub.com/forums/manuals/messages/164.htmlI need to level (smooth) an area of our property and was wanting to use a 3 bottom plow. All of the other areas I have done to this point has been with a disc after spraying, but it takes me many passes and it still seems to leave trash on top. Here in central Florida row crops (strawberries & blueberries mainly) are the norm and bottom plows are unheard of. Discs are used because the soil is a sandy loam and it turns pretty easily. The berrie farmers use JD 70 & 80 series tractors to pull much larger discs (offset) than mine. I have a 7' center pivot with 18" discs. I wanted to ask about opening and finishing the land with my bottom plow. The attachment is "ntractorclub.com/forums/manuals/messages/164.html" if it doesn't open for you. I first saved this to a file on my desktop but then it would not upload here? I could also use advice on how you folks usually get pages & docs to load here. I would like to post more often but don't have success in this area. Anyway, starting on page 10 of this plow book it shows different ways to plow. I don't understand on page 12 the areas labeled "back furrow" which direction the plow should be running? The diagram at the bottom of page 13 also has a back furrow. There is some good information on plowing in this book. I would appreciate some further clarification from everyone who would like to share their knowledge. I want to also send a big thankyou to Larry Gugliotta (GuglioLS) for helping me with a project recently! There are some very good people on this site and a wealth of knowlege we can all share. Thanks in advance for any help. Gene
