Tires plowing with this tires

Here can you see a picture of the tires.
The front tires are the same as a tc 24 da (turf tires)
The rear tires are the same as the tc 45 d (turf tires)
It is in clay and is it possible to pull a 2-14 plow? or only a 1-14 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I started <font color="red">TC55 / DX 55 Tire Traction ???? </font> , Because I was thinking about the R4 industrial tire , how well it would perform for Plowing in Medium to Heavy Red Clay. The reason I asked the Question was related to the TRACTION. I had not thought about the excess Width and dropping into the open furrow.

Most responses was that the Width of the R4 may not drop completly in the open furrow. And there were some thoughts that the R4 may not CLEAN and would pack with the clay, losing traction.

The Width of your TURF tires would be the 1st negative, and from the Photo you posted it looks like your front tires are already PACKED/FILLED with CLAY that is the 2nd negative.

IMO they will PACK , the second pass through the Furrow if the CLAY is the least bit moist, and you will be stuck spinning your Wheels.

Outside of changing from turf tires to R-1's (ag tires) and filling them with ballast; your best bet would be to get a good set of heavy duty chains.

I plow in Pa with a TN65 in 4-WD pulling a 3-bottom, 16" plow with no problem. I never run out of power...but I often run out of traction.
