So...you connect one port on the hydraulic top link to one remote port on the tractor and the other port to the other remote port?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, each remote adapter has two "ports" as you describe them. The remote lever on your tractor can go in two directions. In one direction, one of the ports will be attached to the pressure side of the pump and the other will be connected to the reservoir return. When you move the lever to the opposite direction, the ports pressure/return is swapped. The only thing you will notice when attaching the toplink is that swapping the ports will reverse the action of the cylinder for a given movement of the lever. I prefer my lever to move in the direction of the toplink, but you may want it just the opposite. There is no "right" way. It's just personal preference.

Now, if you have more than one remote lever, you can make a mistake in connection so that the cylinder will not operate, but if you connect it to the set of ports for either single remote lever, it will work fine.

Hahaha Jim,
I just read your reply and saw what it was you were trying to explain...harder than it seems to get it worded right.

What Jim means is that the remotes are in "sets". Each set is worked by one lever. You would plug the hoses into that "set" of remotes.
If you have more than one set of remotes, don't plug one hose into one "set" and the other into the other "set" of remotes. I guess that's what he was trying to tell you. And lol ... I see I've taken longer than he has.:)

This is one of those things that is easier to demonstrate than to describe. Huh?:D Thanks for backing me up Rob.
