applies to poison OAK but I believe its very similar. Note there are only certain times in the growing cycle that roundup is effective.
I had about 9 acres of poison oak and have slowly fought back the tide. eight years later, there are still large areas I havn't dared yet tread. Some of the poison oak vines are as big around as my arm. I'm considering opening a poison oak museum and charging admisson.

Sometimes it goes the other way too. When I was in my teens I was highly alergic, it would spread all over once I got it. I'd have it a month or more.

I still get it every year because I love to be outside and in the woods, but now it's only a quarter-sized spot that doesn't get any worse and goes away in a week or two.

I've found several Brush Killers, including Round Up Brush Killer to work with one applicaiton

What I like to use on PI, wild blackberrys, sumac or any woody plants is Crossbow. It will kill your woody plants and not harm your good grasses. You can mix it with water or diesel but if you use diesel it will also kill your grass.

2-4-D. Works great, costs much less than roundup.
