I am considering a Polaris Ranger 500. It is the entry level Ranger, but I think it will fit my needs fairly well. I just want it to putz around on my property, make my life easier, have a little fun, and take the grandkids for rides. Anyone have and experience with the 500? Any comments either negative or positive are welcome.

My wife has a Polaris Ranger 570 EPS. She uses it all the time. I use it quite a bit, also. She has wanted one for years. Should have bought it years ago. This thing is great on gas and handles our trails and fields very well. Super stable on trails, suspension is really good. Instead of carrying stuff all over by hand or in the loader bucket of the tractor, we use the Ranger. You can get to where you are going a lot faster, also! We hooked a trailer to it yesterday and did in 2 hours what would normally take 6 hours the hard way by hand. Certainly makes life easier!

Power steering is really nice! My advice is to drive several different makes and models and see what you like best. There are big differences between machines. Look at warrantees very carefully. Some are short and don't cover much.

From everything I have read and heard, plus experience with our Ranger EV, the Polaris Rangers have the best suspension of everything out there. Really great ride. I didn't think that was all too important, but I'm sure fond of it now.

Go for it. Love my ranger. I went with the 3 seat XP900EPS. Clearance sale ends soon. 0904171513a.jpg

The 570 mid size, Best tool/toy we own. Trails, grandkids, wheel barrow, tool hauler, does it all and can not get stuck!

I fear that the newer models might have eliminated this, but one of the other things that I like a lot about Polaris, is that they have a solid, flat BENCH seat all the way across. Emergency brake lever is on the dash. This is WAY better for loading up the wife, grandbaby and dog for a little ride up to the mailbox than "bucket" seats or a center console/brake lever like most manufacturers do.

We have a Polaris 500 midsize, 2013 I believe, and I like it quite a bit. Plenty of power, the suspension is nice, love the bench seat and nice dump bed. High-low range CVT with the original belt works well. I also like the not to big size. About the only thing I don't care for is it's Hilliard FWD system whereas the front doesn't engage until the rear is slipping and turning 20% faster which can make the rear end kind of squirrelly in certain conditions.
