Has anyone bought a pole barn kit from DIYpolebarns.com or Hansen pole barns? any feedback on your experience and quality of the kit would be greatly appreciated.

Lets bubble this back to the top.
I've got a quote from Hansen pole barns and it seem resonable, but would like to know if anybody has any dealings with this company.

I purchased my PB from DIY Pole Barns. They were cheaper than Hansen Pole Barns. Hope this helps.

DIY doesn't have gambrel roof option. Something I'm really interested in.
For what I'm looking at the price quote they gave wasn't too bad.

Thanks.

I too got a quote from Hansen on a gambrel roof. Price seemed reasonable to me too, and the they were quite responsive with various questions I had about the design and reworked the design to accommodate my sloping property (longer poles on the downhill). What's been holding me back is my basic lack of flat space around here and the time it takes me to get a project done along with working. I'm afraid a semi full of material may sit there and get ruined before I got the thing built. If I do it myself piecemeal, I can buy the material as the project proceeds.

I recently purchased from Hansen and I'm not happy with their service. Material delivery has been a nightmare for me. The delivery of the barn doors were weeks overdue, and when they arrived they were missing parts. I still haven't received all the parts, and my builder has moved on to new jobs as my barn stands unfinished. Buyer beware!

Not good as I was seriously considering hansen.

The parts have all been received, but they were a month late. And to be honest, much of the shipping issues appear to have been caused by Hansen's door vendor.

I'm finishing the barn myself at this point.

In virtually every building kit package we provide all of the materials arrive in a timely fashion, without damage.

When one thinks about the thousands of people involved in the manufacture, packaging, shipping and delivery of the myriad of components required to construct even a simple building, it is a miracle anything ever gets built.

There are times when something does go askew - in the case of Mr. Bivens, everything arrived as expected, except the doors. The door order was placed in a timely manner with the manufacturer. The manufacturer issued a confirmation, which included the expected shipment date. The manufacturer posted shipment data on their website, we verified there that the doors were shipped as anticipated.

When the doors did not arrive as expected, the vendor acknowledged the shipping information had been posted in error on their website. Shipment and delivery were expedited to Mr. Bivens, with the doors arriving eight days later than originally anticipated. Upon receipt, some of the boxes had been damaged during shipment - and parts had come out of the boxes. The manufacturer promptly shipped the missing parts via FedEx to complete the order.

In all cases, we keep our clients informed via a plethora of methods - their on line log in, Emails, texts and personal phone calls, so they are aware of the arrival of various shipments. In this particular instance, one of the owners was even involved in making personal calls to Mr. Bivens.

Fortunately, the great majority of our clients understand that things happen which are outside of our control, are patient and work with us for resolution. We are blessed by the happy compliments we receive from them, as well as the photos of their beautiful new buildings.
