pole barn/steel building, woman cave

Hello all, me again, back to the drawing board. the amish crew i found quoted me out of the ballpark, and maybe in the neighboring states park, still don't know. looking for some advice or referral ,reasonable crew or company to build a 30x50 pole barn/steel building, in Kimberberling city area. I see buildings all over, someone built them or is building them. Any advise is appreciated. Have a great day!!!!Chevy 10

I had a set of drawings for a 48'x39'x16'(wall height) pole barn, posts 8' on center max, trusses 4' on center, two 12'x14' OHDs, one entry door, and 1' overhangs. The materials alone (no concrete) were $19k, that does not include labor/site work as I will do that myself. That price was a local building supplier here in western NY. Probably not much help but maybe a reference for you.

There is a company online that is from upper midwest that can design and sell you a building, as well as locate a builder in your area. Check out Hansen Pole Buildings. I know a few people that have bought there stuff and are happy with them.

Only other piece of advice is make sure you are comparing apples to apples, and get all the details in writing.

Thanks Lee, i know i can buy a mansion or a out house. looking more for the outhouse with concrete floor, i was thinking gravel and pour concrete later but i don't want use shoots or wheelbarrells later, I will insulate slowly when i have the funds. Want a building for workshop, storage and detailing. nothing fancy. will be a work in process over time. again, thanks for all information. Chevy 10

In July 2010 we used TNT out of Mt Airy NC to build a metal building 22'x26' with a 12'x22' lean to. The building is 10' at the corners with the roof peak at 14'. We picked color.

The cost was $7500 with one side door and two roll up doors. The cement pad was installed by Talon Concrete and is under the building and lean to at a cost of $3500.

Both are excellent companies. The roof developed some rust at the screws and TNT replaced the entire roof at no cost.

No problems since.

Wonder if everyone including the Amish have jacked their prices in response to your recent tornado? Kimberling City area had quite a bit of damage, not to mention Branson.

Just a thought, might be best to wait a few months....

I wonder that too Dean, I was in the tornado path in kimberling city, just had about 2k damage to my house, in which I'm all fixed now. If so, maybe that's why the prices I have been quoted are so different. I found a builder, I just closed on the land 4-27-12, so hope to have built by end of June. When it is done, i will post a picture. wish me luck, Chevy.

Have you thought about something simple like they have over at Action Shelters over in Notch, Mo.? They sell the Carolina Carport brand of buildings and Derkson portable wooden buildings. I have one of those, and I am dealing on a closed in Metal garage for my tractor. Notch is just west of Silver Dollar City on 76, by Uncle Ike's Trail Rides. Just a thought.

there two weeks ago, the owner pasted last year but the daughter took over. I gave her my information but she never got back to me. I am looking to build a 30x50. I guess i am asking too much from builders, if they want work or a sale they should be contacting me. the builder i have found and met with last week, calls me back , gives me prices if we do this or that, gave me print outs, etc. Seems this builder wants the work and a good friend referenced this builder. i am not naming names until it is done, then I will state the company in which i'm chosing. thank you again for all the information,

Yes she seems a little disorganized, but we were finally able to contact her, I think she is a little overwhelmed running the business. Good luck on your project.
