Pond cost in the Southeast?

Thanks guys. I had my first guy come out and give me an estimate for a 1\2 acre pond. They said it would take about 2 days worth of dozer work and then cull out the bottom with an excavator. Total cost wold be in the neighborhood of $7500. I am going to get a second estimate this coming weekend.
