My little 5x10 trailer doesn't have any ramps. I would like to have some portable ramps for it, and maybe other future uses. My local farm store has aluminum Reese Ramps on sale. The two styles to choose from are about the same size and have about the same specs. Your choice, folding or arched.

Which style is more convenient to use in your opinion?

The angle created by straight ramps to a high bed like a PU create a high centering situation, especially mowers. The arched type are designed to prevent that. Buy the arched ones and you can cover most loading situations you may encounter.

I agree with TS. Plus the arched one I feel are stronger. I probably have the same as the arched, or a similar brand of arched. Use them to run a snowblower up into my pickup. Works great. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE STRAPS ON THEM TO THE BUMPER OR SOMETHING STRONG. BACKING OUT TENDS TO PUSH THE RAMPS BACK OFF THE EDGE. Others have proven this by dropping to the ground. Enjoy. Jon

I have the arched pair from Reese and they work great! Got mine at Lowe's , IIRC $129.00.
Others are right, I was using a cheapo straight set and kept hanging up with my 52" Grasshopper loading on 5' X 9' trailer.

I just got back from the store. I ended up getting a pair that are arched AND folding. And they have an extruded aluminum tread rather than treads every 4". They are only 7' long but that is ok, my trailer floor is only 24" high. And I got the sale price plus a senior discount! Woohoo!

Agreed. Although I never use them anymore, about a hundred years ago I bought a set of arched folding aluminum ramps from JC Whitney. Great for loading riding mowers onto a pickup. Never had a high center situation where the mower deck hung on the tailgate. I also used for 4 wheelers back in the day when I had one.
