My dad bought one of those portable sheds that's on skids a few years ago.

I just decided to look up the property on the county website where it lists the property tax info.

They finally after 2 years came by and discovered my dad's portable shed on the property.

I'm not to clear on taxes and know this isn't the best place to ask and I should get the answer from the county "Which I'll probably do"

The building comments section says "10X16 SHEDS - NO VALUE - A1-13 0120sf"

I know what no value means. But does it mean that the shed won't increase the property taxes?

I'm just curious.

Thanks

Here if it says no value there is nothing added... no idea if this is the same everywhere.

I found some more info on the counties website. It states "Utility Shed (affixed to slab or foundation) ………. Real"

Portable Standing Building & Yard Item …………. Personal

So by that the shed is considered personal property.

I list for my town. No value means we don't think it would add to the sale price of your house or at least we don't think it is worth gigging your for it. We don't tax any building under 100 sq. ft. fixed or not and a lot of old wood sheds etc. would get removed by a new owner on day one. One mans castle is another mans trash heap.
