portable winch

Has anyone mounted a portable winch on a Mahindra 28 xl hydro? I would like to have one that I can hang on the front or back as needed if it gets stuck in a "hairy" situation. When doing land cleanup on our 2.5 acre hill side property I tend to do that.

I'll be installing a winch on mine also, in the near future.
My guess would be to install it somewhere at the rear,
simply because you usually drive forward into a "hairy" situation
and will need to pull yourself "back" out.
Also, I would think, the lower it is, the better,
so somewhere at the back and as low as possible is my thought.

Add a 2" reciever to the front and one at the rear. Mount the winch to a plate that can be moved to either location on your tractor oryour truck...

Mine is lower capacity, but useful to pull my windmill pump. It als works good for pulling bushes in landscape. It fits in a receiver welded to the bucket.

Winch works great, also have front and back receiver on my truck. It does come in quite handy.

I have the same winch.

Welded a receiver hitch onto the front weight.

Used it many times, back when I had the tractor.

Sold the tractor, kept the winch.
