Anyone have any POSITIVE comments on the tractor dealers around the Puget Sound Washington region? I'm currently looking at Kubota and LS tractor models, but having read many of the posts here, it seems like the dealership is just as, if not more important, than the brand. Thanks in advance :)

Don't have any experience with Kubota or LS but the John Deere dealer in Mt. Vernon, WA has been excellent in the 10 years I've used them. Both the Deere and the Kubota dealer (further up I-5) have been around for ages so they must be doing something right.

Didn’t have much luck in the greater Puget Sound region-didn’t like the sales folks at Washington tractor, the Yanmar dealer in Pacific was good but they just didn’t seem to move much on price ( same with the Yanmar dealers in Eastern Wa.). The LS dealer south on I5 didn’t give me a good feeling.

Had a great experience with an LS dealer further south ( where I ended up buying).

J&I PE in Olympia and Yelem always treated me right, two tractors and a bunch of smaller equipment. Always delt with Greg, the owner’s son, out in Yelem.

Only done business with J and I in Olympia... no complaints.

Tried to do business with Kitsap and was told I was out of their trade area...

Also bought from Green Valley in California for the California property...

I looked in the Mt. Vernon/Burlington area. For me in came down to parts/service availability and how I was treated as a potential customer. Hands down Washington tractor in Mt. Vernon was the absolute best. They went above and beyond the call of service and I can't say enough good things about them. I was also looking at Kubotas and their sales staff was not helpful. They also liked to bash JD products. Not very professional IMO. I purchased a JD3032E with FEL, rotary mower and PHD 4 years ago. One of the best purchases I ever made.

From Vashon go to Jennings Equipment in Puyallup. They have the best dealer shop in the area (6 tractor Mechanics and separate small engine shop). Huge inventory in stock including implements. I am surprised at what Ultra said about Kitsap. They are very high volume in sales with catchy deals in adds, but their shop sucks. Kitsap's advertised prices look low ball but read the fine print.

Send me a personal and I will give you the proper connection to Jennings so I get my finders fee.

The rest of them around here have turned me off including Washington Tractor in Sumner. Not a whole lot of variety in the area. Kubota, JD, and New Holland as far as I know. The New Holland guy over here farms out his shop work I think, no shop on site.

For me, nearby location is important. The folks at Kitsap Tractor (Kubota) where I bought my BX are generally good. Seems if I mull around the tractors outside, I get attention. Not as much, in the store. Commissions??? Anyways, today I stopped by to better understand what it would take to add a couple rear remotes. Instead of going into the store, I walked over to the stable to see if there were any installed.

This brought a cute sales gal over and she tried to help but ended up passing me on to another guy and we sat down and 'chewed' the fat' a bit on what I was trying to do. Being a slow Saturday... and I think most days are slow for tractor salespeople... he seemed willing to indulge me. One thing I have noticed, is they don't seem to have much room to wiggle on price. I think with Kubota's 'build your own' website, there isn't much they can do.

I actually complained to Kubota Corp when I was told I was outside of their trade area as the advertisements from Kitsap keep popping up as banner ads on my computer... plus they advertise heavily...

Kubota Corp said each dealer sets their business practices...

The ironic part is a friend in Sant Cruz California bought a used Excavator from Kitsap and no problem with making the purchase... but, for some reason my inquiry on a Kubota RTV was an issue when I asked what it would cost to deliver to Olympia.

My dealings with Kubota of Issaquah have all been positive for two tractors and lots of other stuff.
great from John Deere In Snohomish for many years as well but I no longer can afford to support JD.
