Mahindra 4035
It's easy to share bad experiences but too rare that we share the good ones. I took my 4035 to the dealer a few weeks ago to have a couple things done. It needed the loader joystick repaired (turned out to be a bad cable) and both front wheel seals were leaking so I wanted those fixed. When the work was done they called me and I drove the 45 mins with truck and trailer to pick it up. When I got there I settled up of course and went out to load the tractor. The first thing that I noticed was the loader handle worked better than it ever had. (Since I've owned it). I got the tractor on the trailer and was chaining it down when I noticed the right front wheel was still leaking oil. :(. I of course went back into the dealership and let them know. I talked to the guy who did the work and he came out and looked at it. He was a little perplexed as he said "what the heck?!" He thought for a minute and said "this is obviously my screw up...in not sure why it would be leaking but it's my fault". He then told me to take it home and that he would order another seal for it and drive the 45 mins to my house to fix it on sight when it came in. All free of charge of course. I asked if he needed to check with "the boss" first and he told me no...that it was the right thing to do. And said if his boss wasn't ok with it he would just come out and fix it without getting paid. Today he showed up with the service rig, put in the new seal and O ring, apologized again and was on his way. (With the blessing of his boss). We all make mistakes...how it was handled makes a loyal customer out of me. Big thumbs up!

Good stuff and thanks for posting.

I've often posted in the 'what should I buy' threads that Dealership Service (and their reputation) is just as, if not more, important than the deal of whatever colour tractor you get.

IMHO, the level of service that a dealership gives after the purchase OR on any tractor that they work on = a loyal customer, which also = very good 'word of mouth' reputation in the community that they work. 'Word' gets around in the tractor world. It's one of the big factors that I went JD where I live, to the point where I just 'drop in' when I'm in the area, just to talk.

I'm glad your dealership is so responsive. Mahindra it seems has put some road blocks in this responsiveness on some fronts. Used to be that the dealer would come out and pick up your tractor for $0 when in warranty. The bill was added as part of the warranty work. Thats gone. I have a hazard switch that went on my 3016. Falls under warranty still. $90 to get the tractor there 8 miles away. I can buy the switch for $72. I then cannot administer the purchase price for warranty rebate as the dealer did not do the work even if I present the bad switch. Mahindra used to be more customer friendly but tying the dealerships hands moves away from that. Bean counters are winning the short term expense wars but at what price for long term customer relationship?

To make matters worse, even if I brought the tractor down there, they would have to first ascertain the switch is bad then order it from Mahindra. Right now they are slammed with mower repair work so it would be two to three weeks before I got the machine back.

Boy I hope you're wrong! I've had a *minor* issue since I've bought the tractor a month ago that the throttle will occasionally not get up to full PTO speed (540). He was on vacation last week when I wanted him to pick it up since I am traveling for work, but he was able to pick it up today (presumably at no cost). He's 20 miles away and said he'd pick it up and return it before I got home from my trip. He even helped my wife take the brush hog off the back of the tractor when he picked it up.

I'll follow up on Wednesday.

When I traded my lemony 1025 for a new 2025, the sales person made sure to move the toolbox from the 1025 to the 2025. He also traded my collar type power shaft for a push button type.

Of course, I've paid the equivalent of a VW Passat the last 2 years in going from my good 4010 (but busted drive shaft) to lemony 1025 to updated 4010 in the 2025.
