It's easy to share bad experiences but too rare that we share the good ones. I took my 4035 to the dealer a few weeks ago to have a couple things done. It needed the loader joystick repaired (turned out to be a bad cable) and both front wheel seals were leaking so I wanted those fixed. When the work was done they called me and I drove the 45 mins with truck and trailer to pick it up. When I got there I settled up of course and went out to load the tractor. The first thing that I noticed was the loader handle worked better than it ever had. (Since I've owned it). I got the tractor on the trailer and was chaining it down when I noticed the right front wheel was still leaking oil.
. I of course went back into the dealership and let them know. I talked to the guy who did the work and he came out and looked at it. He was a little perplexed as he said "what the heck?!" He thought for a minute and said "this is obviously my screw up...in not sure why it would be leaking but it's my fault". He then told me to take it home and that he would order another seal for it and drive the 45 mins to my house to fix it on sight when it came in. All free of charge of course. I asked if he needed to check with "the boss" first and he told me no...that it was the right thing to do. And said if his boss wasn't ok with it he would just come out and fix it without getting paid. Today he showed up with the service rig, put in the new seal and O ring, apologized again and was on his way. (With the blessing of his boss). We all make mistakes...how it was handled makes a loyal customer out of me. Big thumbs up!
