Getting on the tractor yesterday, it seemed that the step was loose. Drove over to the shop thinking the bolts needed to be tightened.... nope, all tight. Crawled underneath and found a stress crack in the floorboard on the edge where it bends around the fender. Seems the bolt on the fender to the floorboard becomes a pivot point, putting stress on the floorboard.
This area was apparently redesigned on the late production XG3025 and new MT225E, but apparently not well enough. It is covered under warranty, I will be getting a new floorboard. I will design / add some additional support for the step after the floorboard gets replaced.
This might just be an isolated incident, but worth letting owners know to check their tractors. My XG is a late 2019, took delivery last April, it has 167 hours on it.
