Lately I have been shopping for a tractor to do some work around the house this summer. Well, I am a slow shopper and I don't like to be in a hurry. But the work is still there. I would like to use a harley rake to reseed my lawn. It just so happens that my brother stores his 8n in my barn for the summer. I was just wondering if anyone has tried using a Harley rake with an 8n? For those not familiar with the model, the T-6 is a 72" rake. PTO driven. I realise that the PTO isn't live and that will slow things down. By how much I don't know. Also, I think the HP may be a little low. So in your opinion, worth a try or a waste of time?

An 8N may or may not work depending on how much or a cut you take. The real issue of this tractor is the gearing. A stock transmission 8N won't go very slow in 1st gear, especially working it with higher RPM's.
