Does anyone know of a problem, or other reason, which may occur if elbow fittings are installed on the Hydraulic motor, I believe the routing would not be affected, and I could lower the suspension point of the mower, by possibly two to three inches. The sides of the motor appear to have been designed for hose entry, may that type motor may be more expensive. Of course I have not tried to locate 90 degree fitting yet ! !

Also, does anyone know if Parker have issued a recall or moddification note, to replace the rusted body bolts.
Just a thought , hoping I do not have any reason to go inside the motor.

Thanks JJ
As usual you had the right answer. Not being too far up the rungs on this hydraulic situation, I didn't see how I could possibly have the outlet end of a 90 degree facing the right direction. After a few days of visiting the so called new direction hydraulic dumbclucks, I was directed to the ultimate fitting shop. I was told after the light it's a beige building, used to be red, you may miss it there's no sign. If you get to a car lot, you missed it. I got to a window supplier I missed it. I opened the unmarked door, and stepped into the oily type looking cubicle which had one small service window, through the window I saw old wooden shelves stacked with small boxes all sizes, it was like stepping into the past, and the welcome , confident, voice said can I help. I had a photo of the motor with the straight fittings, within thiry seconds his only doubt, was there room to turn the second fitting, I said I was sure, and there were two fittings ready to go. He wrote me up for 2- 2503-8-8. After listening to other things he was saying I figured the 8-8 was referring to the hose size for each end.
Anyway thanks again JJ Looks much better now.

JJ... Doesn't this affect the flow through the loop? The transition through the 90 degree elbow can't possibly flow as easily as a straight fitting? It will be interesting to see if your performance suffers at all?

Yes, that is correct. A straight path would be better, and any time that you change the flow, there will be a little more friction. Choices have to be made some times, and height was a consideration. A few rpm's may be lost.

I got so carried away yesterday by having found a good old fashioned parts room, I forgot to ask about the motor.
All my other outdoor equipment has IC engines and are described or differentiated by Horse Power. What "Horse Power" is my 48 inch hydralic powered mower? Mine is a PT 422 Powered bya Robin engine. I think some one figured this out at one time but not sure.
Thanks for the thought about turning a corner with the oil under pressure, but if it can take corners like NJ drivers, there's not much of a problem.
