Poster or Member ratings

I noticed today that I am now a "Platinum" member or have a "Platinum" rating. I have not been a member of this site for even a year. I guess this rating refers to the number of posts I have made. It could be that most are all of my posts are inane. Certainly there are many members here who have posted less but whose posts have been much more helpful or interesting or both in the aggregate than mine. Anyway, I feel that my Platinum rating is undeserved. It would be nice if there was a better way to rate members. Unfortunately I don't know what it is.

Your 600 posts area good start but you have a long way to go to reach the top. IIRC, a few members are over 50,000 posts.

For example: I discovered that I can jump higher than the average house.

(Mind you, the average house cannot jump, so there you go.)

Alot of retired folk on here and not much to do over the winter or when the weather is crappy. This is better than FB or tic-tok

It's not a rating. It's a title.

The only way to rate people based on their post content would be a popularity contest at best. Some of the greatest advice and wisdom comes from some of the most obscure little posts that only a handful of people might read. They might get a couple likes or stars, etc., while a post that says "I hate okra" might get a couple hundred. I'd guess a large number of my posts after 20+ years here would be just quick "Nice!", "Good job", or "Welcome to TBN". The number count and associated title means nothing other than some fun stats.

Come sit by me,I've been meaning to talk to you about your high jumps. It has nothing to do with your post count. Your mum and I found you by a billabong out in the bush when you were but a joey. Your birth mum had been ran over by some hoon in a jeep. We fully intended returning you to the mob once you were old enough but you were so cute in your little daks and learned to use the dunny so we bailed. This also explain's why you could never walk backwards like your mates but beat them at broad jump,cross country,boxing and footy. So how bout it,can we just called it crikey and move foward?
