After being inspired by Old Mech and cmyoung2 my father-in-law and I built our own version of a powered wheel barrow. We used a dump box from a Garlock roof cart. It easily handles 2 ,regular size, wheel barrow loads of firewood.
Like cmyoung2 I am finding myself wanting some steering brakes. My 725 has plenty of power but I wrestle the machine a bit turning in tight ares. We will be adding some larger front wheel which may help.
For the most part I am extremely happy with this implement and use it all the time.

Nice work. You could add some steering like the CAEB Minicargo front mounted dump cart.

Good job. I like the large capacity. Turning with the 725 is a bit of a challenge at times, especially on slopes. Two things that might help a little. A little more camber, offset, whatever, might help, and larger tires may also help, but if you are like me and used what you had, stick with it. I like your tractor wheel weights. That should help with turning. I actually push my tractor up on one wheel when turning hard, if I have the traction. Tend to learn how to use a lot of "body English" while turning. At least yours looks wide enough that turning the rig over might not be a problem. I have rolled mine more than once on steep ground. I love to see the innovations.

We were able to put 45 pounds of lead behind the metal plate for wheel weights.

With front casters, it is like turning a front heavy shopping cart, hard to do. Why not pin the casters so they can't turn and add an articulation pivot like my Dumper?

Then it would be easy to turn, your 725 would push the back of the cart to the right, to turn left and push left to turn right.

I want to make something like this. I'm wondering if it would be better to have independent axles though. If you just modified your hitch very little, a couple holes and pins, the barrow axle could pivot independent of the tractor axle. With what you have, all the wheels have to be on the same flat surface.

Beautiful Mac. Do the axels pivot independently on the tractor and the barrow?

Hi Nibbana,

I have not sen a Mimoki in real, but from what I know, they are articulated.
